The Saarmila team combines expertise in sustainability and political science, geography, design, planning, and climate protection, bringing a wide range of perspectives to mobility research. Our transdisciplinary network brings together three levels of administration, two research institutions, and a civil society association that organizes citizen participation. This diversity enables us to shape mobility in Saarland through a joint effort involving administrative practice, science, and civil society. We leverage the different strengths of our team and make decisions in a transparent and cooperative manner. Values such as inclusion, sensitivity to social inequality, respect, participation, and sustainability shape our team culture. Our working style is dialogue-oriented, reflective, and experimental; we focus on joint learning processes and use modern tools for exchange, creativity, and co-creation.

It is also important to us to listen to the people of Saarland: We welcome suggestions, questions, and requests for participation from the public and actively incorporate them into our process. This creates a working environment that strengthens cooperation – and enables mobility solutions that are socially equitable, future-oriented, and relevant to everyday life.
